March 5, 2015

Agreement Includes Exclusive Partnership and Reselling Agreement for all Accessibility Scans in Norway

Cryptzone, a global provider of dynamic, identity-driven security and compliance solutions, today announced a partnership with the Norwegian Association of Blind and Partially Sighted (NABP) to provide automated accessibility testing for compliance. This agreement makes NABP Cryptzone's exclusive partner in Norway when handling accessibility scans. NABP will also retain the right to resell Cryptzone's offerings.

"When we heard that the NABP was looking to partner with a technology vendor to provide automated accessibility testing for everything from a single page all the way to enterprise agreements, we knew that our Compliance Sheriff Accessibility product was the ideal fit," said Kurt Mueffelmann, president and CEO for Cryptzone. "We recognize that over 20 percent of the population is not able to access Internet content, which is a real issue as technology innovation has driven consumers and companies to rely so heavily on an online world. Compliance Sheriff helps companies address these issues from end-to-end, significantly improving accessibility and user experience for this segment of the population."

NABP is utilizing Cryptzone's HiSoftware Compliance Sheriff, which includes an accessibility module that identifies non-compliant content on public-facing websites, intranets, and portals, including HTML and documents, against standard accessibility requirements. It includes out-of-the-box check points for Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2), as well as support for custom guidelines. The product can scan live content as well as test content prior to publication in the development using the Compliance Deputy module.

"When we explored other solutions in the space, Compliance Sheriff's superior functionality stood out among the rest. It's a proven solution with an established global user base," said Atle Lunde, chairman of NABP. "We also liked that the company offered us the ability to become a true partner and offer Cryptzone's solutions to our existing customer base, who face the challenges of web accessibility daily."

About the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (NABP)

NABP was established in 1900 and is Norway's oldest association of disabled people. The organization has 13000 members, but recon about 180.000 persons to be visually impaired in Norway. NABPs main objective is to achieve equal opportunities and status in society for people with visual impairment - and other groups of disabled people. Influencing political authorities and other decision-makers is important in reaching this goal.

Technology for All (TFA) is established by NABP as a commercial service to offer corporations and public services knowledge on universal design of ICT.!)In July 2014, Norway passed new legislation stating that all new webpages must be accessible to all.By 2021 the law requires all webpages, new or old, to be universally designed. This opens up for a significant demand in teaching web designers how to develop webpages that are accessible to all - and how to keep them universally designed. The TFA team works with some of the largest companies and public authorities in Norway, offering services in Compliance checking, user-testing, expert-testing and training.
