Kurt A. Mueffelmann

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kurt A. Mueffelmann is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cryptzone. Mueffelmann draws on over 20 years of experience helping high-tech companies reach their growth potential. He is responsible for defining and directing Cryptzone’s worldwide strategic vision and operational direction, product strategy, sales and market expansion and international growth activities. Additionally, Mueffelmann is a member of Cryptzone’s board of directors.

Prior to joining Cryptzone, Mueffelmann was President and CEO of HiSoftware, acquired by Cryptzone in 2014. Mueffelmann’s leadership and expertise has earned two companies under his charge, including HiSoftware, a spot on the Deloitte Fast 500, a revenue-based awards program honoring the top growing technology companies.

Mueffelmann was Vice President and General Manager of both the Document Output Solutions and Business Process Solutions lines of business for Bottomline Technologies. He was responsible for over $40 million in profitable revenue while broadening the product lines and expanding the distribution model to include the creation of an enterprise sales team and a more expansive worldwide channel representation. He has also served as President and CEO of Create!form International, Inc, a document output solutions software company, acquired by Bottomline in September 2003. At Create!form, Mueffelmann grew revenues by over 1,100% in a three-year period while being named one of the fastest growing technology firms in the world by Deloitte & Touche.

He has served as President and CEO of RealWorld Corporation during the late 1990s. There he led a complete financial turnaround by doubling sales and returning the company to profitability through channel realignment, product expansion, and a true commitment and understanding of customer and industry requirements. He orchestrated RealWorld’s acquisition by Great Plains (Microsoft) in 2000.

In addition, Mueffelmann has served on the advisory boards of numerous companies and professional organizations within the technology industry. He holds a BA degree in Economics and Political Science from Fairfield University in Connecticut.

Andy Jones, Chief Financial Officer, Cryptzone

Andy Jones is Cryptzone’s chief financial officer (CFO). His primary responsibilities as CFO include managing the company’s financial growth, scaling continued operations and directing global human resources. Jones is a skilled finance leader with over 25 years of experience, more than 12 of which include working with venture capital and private equity-backed companies.

Prior to joining Cryptzone he was CFO at Integrity Interactive, a private equity-financed $30MM company that provided Global Ethics and Compliance programs to Global 2000 companies, and successfully sold that business for $170MM. Previously he was CFO of CCBN, a $65mm information services business that was also successfully sold for $150MM. He has also held top finance positions at Nasuni Corp., TrueAdvantage, Inc., New River, Inc., Thomson Financial and Seagram's. Jones holds a business degree from the University of Edinburgh and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Leo Taddeo, Chief Security Officer, Cryptzone

Chief Security Officer

Leo Taddeo is the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Cryptzone, a provider of dynamic, context-aware network, application and content security solutions. Taddeo, former Special Agent in Charge of the Special Operations/Cyber Division of the FBI’s New York Office, is responsible for analyzing the cybersecurity market to help shape Cryptzone’s vision for security solutions. Taddeo provides deep domain insight into the techniques, tactics and procedures used by cybercriminals, to help Cryptzone continue to develop disruptive solutions that enable customers to defend against advanced threats and breaches.

Prior to Cryptzone, Taddeo led more than 400 agents and professional support staff in cyber investigations, surveillance operations, information technology support and crisis management for the FBI. He oversaw high profile cases, including Silk Road, Blackshades and JP Morgan.

Previously, Taddeo served as a Section Chief in the International Operations Division, where he managed FBI operations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Taddeo has held various roles of increasing responsibilities in the field, including supervising a joint FBI/New York City Police Department Joint Terrorism Task Force and serving as the Legal Attaché in Rome, Italy.

After receiving his degree in applied physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1987, Taddeo served as a tank officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1991, he was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal for valor for service in the Gulf War. Taddeo then earned a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University and joined the New York law firm of Mound, Cotton & Wollan, where he practiced civil litigation until entering the FBI.

Taddeo is a graduate of the CISO Executive Program at Carnegie Mellon University. He also maintains the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler certifications.

Kurt Glazemakers, Chief Technology Officer, Cryptzone

Kurt Glazemakers is the Chief Technology Officer at Cryptzone. He is responsible for defining the strategy and roadmap of the next generation of Cryptzone IT security architecture focused on Encryption and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Glazemakers was the independent technical expert within the Medina Capital investment team that exercised due diligence prior to the acquisition of Cryptzone.

Glazemakers is renowned for his extensive knowledge of software development, especially in the software-defined network and storage area. Prior to joining Cryptzone, he served as CTO of CloudFounders, a developer of advanced private cloud technologies for IT-as-a-Service solutions.

He also served as Terremark’s CTO Europe (now part of Verizon), where he was responsible for the development of Enterprise Cloud. Throughout his career, Glazemakers has focused on the development of innovative solutions that increase the availability, security and scalability of mission-critical infrastructures. He holds a Master of Engineering, Telecommunications and Computer Networks from Universiteit Gent in Belgium.

Mark McCue, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Cryptzone

Senior Vice President, Global Sales

As Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Mark McCue is responsible for the sales force at Cryptzone and HiSoftware, and the development of local channel and strategic alliance relationships. McCue brings over 20 years of experience in IT and security sales to Cryptzone, helping customers advance their businesses through technology.

Previously, McCue held senior positions at Verizon Terremark, Data Return, Authoria and Wallace Computer Services. While at Verizon Terremark, McCue was involved in some of the largest cloud deals worldwide, having created a specialized team to support the global sales force in selling secure, enterprise-class cloud computing to strategic customers.

He has worked with Fortune 1000 companies across the US and globally generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. He holds a BA degree in Marketing from Boston College.

Irena Mroz, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Cryptzone

As the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Cryptzone and HiSoftware, Irena Mroz leads the strategic direction and execution of the companies global marketing initiatives. Mroz develops the company’s branding, lead generation programs, product launches, public relations, event marketing, web presence and social media strategies.

With more than 20 years as a technology marketing executive, her previous roles include senior positions at Bottomline Technologies and Create!form International. Mroz holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Boston University’s College of Communication.
