Chief Executive Officer
Barry Field is the Chief Executive Officer of Cryptzone, a provider of dynamic, context-aware network, application and content security solutions. In his role, Field oversees the company's global strategic vision, product development, international growth and expansion into new markets. Field comes to Cryptzone from Medina Capital, where his responsibilities have included sourcing potential investment opportunities and providing Medina Capital’s portfolio companies with strategic advice in all aspects of the sales function.
Prior to joining Medina Capital, Field was the SVP of Global Sales of Verizon Terremark. In that role, he was responsible for managing the global sales organization for the cloud, data center and managed security businesses. Verizon Terremark’s total revenues at the time of his departure exceeded $1.5 billion, and annualized bookings were in excess of several hundred million dollars.
With more than 20 years of experience as a sales executive leading IT infrastructure sales organizations, Field has served in multiple sales leadership roles, including the East Coast Regional Sales VP and VP of Worldwide Sales, for Data Return, a managed services provider that was ultimately acquired by Terremark. His early career included sales executive roles with iKnowledge and Wallace Computer Services. Field received his Bachelor’s in Marketing from Fairfield University.
Chief Security Officer
Leo Taddeo is the Chief Security Officer for Cryptzone, a provider of dynamic, context-aware network, application and content security solutions. Taddeo, former Special Agent in Charge of the Special Operations/Cyber Division of the FBI’s New York Office, is responsible for analyzing the cybersecurity market to help shape Cryptzone’s vision for security solutions. Taddeo provides deep domain insight into the techniques, tactics and procedures used by cybercriminals, to help Cryptzone continue to develop disruptive solutions that enable customers to defend against advanced threats and breaches.
Prior to Cryptzone, Taddeo led more than 400 agents and professional support staff in cyber investigations, surveillance operations, information technology support and crisis management for the FBI. He oversaw high profile cases, including Silk Road, Blackshades and JP Morgan.
Previously, Taddeo served as a Section Chief in the International Operations Division, where he managed FBI operations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Taddeo has held various roles of increasing responsibilities in the field, including supervising a joint FBI/New York City Police Department Joint Terrorism Task Force and serving as the Legal Attaché in Rome, Italy.
After receiving his degree in applied physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1987, Taddeo served as a tank officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1991, he was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal for valor for service in the Gulf War. Taddeo then earned a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University and joined the New York law firm of Mound, Cotton & Wollan, where he practiced civil litigation until entering the FBI.
Taddeo is a graduate of the CISO Executive Program at Carnegie Mellon University. He also maintains the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler certifications.
Chief Technology Officer
Kurt Glazemakers is the Chief Technology Officer at Cryptzone. He is responsible for defining the strategy and roadmap of the next generation of Cryptzone IT security architecture focused on Encryption and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Glazemakers was the independent technical expert within the Medina Capital investment team that exercised due diligence prior to the acquisition of Cryptzone.
Glazemakers is renowned for his extensive knowledge of software development, especially in the software-defined network and storage area. Prior to joining Cryptzone, he served as CTO of CloudFounders, a developer of advanced private cloud technologies for IT-as-a-Service solutions.
He also served as Terremark’s CTO Europe (now part of Verizon), where he was responsible for the development of Enterprise Cloud. Throughout his career, Glazemakers has focused on the development of innovative solutions that increase the availability, security and scalability of mission-critical infrastructures. He holds a Master of Engineering, Telecommunications and Computer Networks from Universiteit Gent in Belgium.
Chief Marketing Officer
Paul Campaniello is the Chief Marketing Officer for Cryptzone where he is responsible for worldwide marketing strategy, execution and sales support. Paul has over 25 years of experience with software startup companies.
He has held several senior marketing and sales positions including CMO/VP of Marketing at ScaleBase, Mendix, Lumigent, ComBrio and Savantis. Prior to Savantis, he was at Precise Software, where he helped build Precise from a startup to $100 million prior to going public and being acquired by VERITAS for $640 million.
Paul holds both a BS and an MBA from Bentley University.
Senior Vice President & General Manager, Americas
As SVP & General Manager, Americas, Mark McCue is responsible for the Americas sales force at Cryptzone, and the development of local channel and strategic alliance relationships. He also oversees the region's support and services organization. McCue brings over 20 years of experience in IT and security sales to Cryptzone, helping customers advance their businesses through technology.
Previously, McCue held senior positions at Verizon Terremark, Data Return, Authoria and Wallace Computer Services. While at Verizon Terremark, McCue was involved in some of the largest cloud deals worldwide, having created a specialized team to support the global sales force in selling secure, enterprise-class cloud computing to strategic customers.
He has worked with Fortune 1000 companies across the US and globally generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. He holds a BA degree in Marketing from Boston College.
Senior Vice President & General Manager - EMEA & APAC
As General Manager - EMEA, Alex Pearson is responsible for the sales force in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at Cryptzone, as well as the development of local channel and strategic alliance relationships. He also oversees the region's support and services organization. Pearson is an experienced executive with a proven track record of success in the software security industry. He has held leadership roles across EMEA for over 20 years for direct and channel-based organizations and for both large international organisations and start-up companies. Most recently Pearson worked for the Cyber division of CSC running the EMEA sales and technical teams where he completely restructured the GTM strategy driving a first year increase of 1000% in sales pipeline and a 50% increase in year on year revenue.
Pearson holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Bournemouth University.
Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances
Tina Gravel is Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Cryptzone, a provider of dynamic, context-aware network, application and content security solutions. With 25+ years of IT experience, Gravel’s expertise in security, outsourcing and cloud contribute directly to Cryptzone’s strategic development initiatives.
Prior to Cryptzone, Gravel served as General Manager/Vice President for Dimension Data’s Cloud Services Business. She was responsible for the development and execution of cloud strategy in the Americas. Before that, she was Vice President of Worldwide Sales/Marketing at Nirvanix, leading sales, marketing and indirect channel programs.
Previously, Gravel held key roles at Terremark, a Verizon company, including Vice President of Global Channels/Alliances, Managing Partner for IT Outsourcing and Vice President of Central Region Sales. She helped guide Terremark from $400,000 in sales (1999) to a premier entity achieving acquisition by Verizon for $1.4 billion (2010). She was also a member of Terremark’s original management team.
Gravel’s experience is rooted in business development, as she held senior positions at NetGravity (now owned by Google), SAS, Sybase and CSC. As an independent consultant, she had a passion for empowering start up technology organizations to increase revenue, monetize intellectual property and secure funding.
Vice President of Products
Jason Garbis is Vice President of Products for Cryptzone, where he's responsible for the company's product strategy and product management. Garbis has over 25 years of experience with technology vendors, including roles in engineering, professional services, product management and marketing. Garbis joined Cryptzone from RSA, and holds a CISSP certification.
John Reilly is the Global Controller for Cryptzone. With more than 15 years of experience in financial management with a specialty in early stage software and technology companies, John overseas the company’s worldwide finance team.
