Secured eUSB is packed with advanced features that make this solution best in class for security, speed, performance, management and reporting. The solution consists of a client application that encrypts USB flash drives, and a central server and console for managing and enforcing security policies and reporting.
FIPS certified encryption complies with all US state and federal laws as well as EU privacy laws. Our patented stealth key technology provides automatic authentication and control over who should have access to secured information. Yet all this technology is transparent to the user and straightforward for IT to control. Our security technology is designed to be easy to use so that people actually can and will use it, thereby increasing the level of security.
Strong security at all points
Encryption uses a FIPS certified AES 256 encryption algorithm.
Communications between the client and the central management console server is secured through an SSL tunnel encrypted with 128 bit AES.
Documents that are secured on the encrypted USB flash drive and opened are transported securely using AES 256 encryption to the local computer before being unsecured and
displayed to the user. Any temporary files created are wiped when the document is closed.
Fast encryption process
For the encryption of a flash drive to be as fast as possible the USB flash drive file system is converted to NTFS. Automatic data compression speeds up data transfers from the computer to the USB flash drive. As a result USB encryption is extremely fast - a 16GB flash drive takes less than one minute to secure.
Stealth key technology provides access control without the hassle
Our patented automatic key encryption method (EPM) lets the user decide who to share the secured device with, and what role that user/group will have when accessing
secured content. EPM Stealth Keys are automatically generated and synchronized between server and clients so IT administrators don’t have to manage them.
Enterprise Protection Method at CTO Talks
Seamless integration with existing infrastructure
Secured eUSB is designed to leverage existing directory applications such as Active Directory. Every secured USB flash drive is registered to an Active Directory user. Users can define which AD users and groups will be able to access the secured device.
Key management
Key management has traditionally been an issue with encryption solutions and expensive. Secured eUSB is a fully automated solution. EPM Stealth keys are automatically generated
and synchronized between server and client, so there is no need for manual key management.
Enterprise Protection Method
Data Content Reporting
The Simple Encryption Platform provides central management, control and reporting for administrators. The SEP uses Global Object Synchronization allowing the intelligent client
to communicate with the SEP manager for real time reporting of data movements and user actions. The SEP can run on a virtual environment such as VMWare.
Content Lifecycle at CTO Talks
Brute force protection
Built in brute force protection system protects the inherent encryption methodology against professional hackers.
Regulatory compliance
The solution uses a FIPS certified AES256 encryption algorithm and is compliant with all US state and federal laws as well as EU privacy laws.
Zero footprint technology
The secured USB can be used on any Windows-based computer without installing any licenses or client software on the host computer, as access rights management, graphical user interface, automatic logging, file and folder handling, and encryption are all installed on the USB flash drive.
Help desk support and automatic fault fixing
Secured eUSB has a number of built-in features to help users fix problems themselves and to speed up fault-finding eg. data damaged when the host computer suddenly crashes can be automatically repaired, the SEP client keeps a log of user actions so the help desk can backtrack to find what might have caused a fault.
Automatic data compression increases device storage capacity
Data is automatically compressed up to 5 to 1, thereby increasing the current storage of a 1 GB drive to 5 GB and a 4 GB drive to a 20 GB capacity.
