Gothenburg, 22 March 2010

Cryptzone announced today that an agreement has been reached with the security company ControlGuard LTD for Cryptzone to acquire ControlGuard’s business and assets.

ControlGuard is a leading provider of end-point security software that controls access to company computers and servers. ControlGuard’s software is already integrated with Cryptzone’s solutions for Data Leak Prevention, and has been marketed by Cryptzone for a long time as an OEM solution. The acquisition of ControlGuard by Cryptzone creates many synergies that are expected to increase margin and sales.

In addition to ControlGuard’s software, Cryptzone also takes on the relationship with more than 200 ControlGuard customers and a strong network of nearly 40 partners worldwide. ControlGuard operates in the U.S. and Europe.

The new business is expected to deliver a positive cash flow during 2010.

"I am very pleased that we have succeeded in linking ControlGuard’s security solutions to our own. These solutions complement our existing portfolio in a very good way. I see great benefits in that we can offer our products to ControlGuard’s customers and offer ControlGuard’s whole range of products to our existing customers and partners," said Peter Davin, CEO of Cryptzone. “Extending our business with technology that is well established, and with many satisfied customers and partners, will have a positive impact for Cryptzone generating sales income from day 1. "

Cryptzone bought AppGate Network Security AB in January 2010 and the purchase of ControlGuard is expanding the company further.
