AppGate Network Security, a part of The Cryptzone Group and one of the leading providers of information security solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with Tieto. Tieto Sweden will market and sell AppGate's security solutions and products to their customers in the Nordic region.
Companies today are facing new challenges due to changes in the way they operate. Flexible working and globalization means that more employees are working from home or from remote locations, and organizations are increasingly relying on external contractors and consultants. All of these people need to reach sensitive information within the corporate network, and from a security perspective this is a major challenge. AppGate provides solutions for secure access control that protect information on the network whilst also providing access to users, regardless of the user's location. Access to individual systems is granted to authorized users on a needs-only basis.
The demand for new security solutions, in particular Access Control, is big and it continues to grow. More and more organizations have global operations with users working from remote locations, and the traditional firewall-centric approach to network security is no longer effective. AppGate's technology uses a different approach to security that simplifies network infrastructure, and makes it easy to share network resources with all internal and external users.
