Fully functional access control system
The AppGate Free Edition (AFE) is a fully functional virtualized version of the AppGate Security Server, which contains an application-layer firewall, fixed and mobile VPN capability, role-based access control and endpoint security.
Free access control solution
The AppGate Free Edition (AFE) is free to download and use. It is delivered as a virtualized version and is easy to install on a VMware or VirtualBox server. The free AFE license provides secure remote access for up to 10 concurrent users. Support for more users, clustering or hardware solutions can be purchased as your budget allows.
Protects against internal & external threats
With the AppGate Free Edition access control system, all users are authenticated before access is granted. End-to-end encryption of all traffic including login details protects the system from phishing or man-in-middle attacks. If a user is not authorized to use a particular resource, that resource remains invisible thus minimizing the risks should an unauthorized user manage to connect to the network. Internal security domains can be created to restrict access to mission critical systems.
