Buy functionality, not products
Over the years, organizations have spent a tremendous amount of resources in hopes of protecting their information. However, their efforts have been focused on preventing outsiders from hacking into the organization, educating employees, and securing data at rest.
According to analyst firms, the majority of all leaks are the result of unintentional information loss from employees and partners, both external
and internal leaks. The average information leak costs organizations approximately $182 per record (according to the Ponemon Institute), averaging
roughly $4,800,000 per breach in total.
The high cost of a breach can have a profound effect on organizations P&L, market presence, and
competitive advantage as a result of damage to brand and reputation, and loss of customers and Intellectual Property. As organizations invest
millions in business systems increasing the availability of information to build or maintain a competitive edge, there remain a slew of
security-related considerations, including:
- Where is the organization’s confidential and sensitive data?
- How, where, and when is the data transmitted and by whom?
- How can the data be controlled and protected?
- What is my organization’s financial risk (from a leak)?
Deploy encryption and control with ease
The Simple Encryption Platform offers a module-based implementation of security. This means that you can implement a small solution to begin with, and later on expand it with more functionality and users, just by simply changing the license key on the server. Then you are free to deploy the new solution as you wish; to everyone, to a group, or to one or more individuals.
Build networks - better, more secure
Traditionally, securing networks involved building a ‘wall’ around the edge of the network. Everything on the outside was treated as a threat and everything on the inside as benign. However, organisations have changed. Users on the inside need access to outside resources on the Internet, and many users and services on the outside need access to internal resources, for example remote users and IP telephony services. The firewall-centric approach is no longer appropriate. How do you provide access to those who need it while also ensuring resources are fully protected?
The AppGate Security Server solves this challenge by using a different approach to security: protecting the IT assets, not the network perimeter. All users are treated the same regardless of their location, and access to individual systems is granted to authorized users on a needs-only basis. The result is secure access control, a simpler network infrastructure, and much greater flexibility since it is as easy to share network resources with business partners, home workers and mobile users as it is for internal users.
- The Security Server replaces multiple point products with one appliance which is easier to manage and cheaper to run
- Strong security protects against internal and external threats
- Internal secure domains protect critical data without the need for internal firewalls
- Remote access from any device, any location
- Central control of security policies and user administration
- Business continuity and high availability through clustering
- Full monitoring and reporting of all user access for regulatory compliance
