Marie Stopes International
Access from any location, any device and any transmission: A key objective for the information-sharing system was to enable staff to be able to work from any location - from home using home pc's, while travelling using mobile devices, and while working in remote locations where local internet access may be over low bandwidth connections or via shared computers. Marie Stopes International needed a remote access solution that would ensure authorised users would be able to access the Microsoft Sharepoint® resources regardless of their location and the endpoint device being used.
Construction and Building Materials
NCC
NCC Construction Sverige installed Cryptzone's Simple Encryption Platform and very quickly after the start of the project the first 250 licenses were installed. Later in the year, NCC was ready to take the next steps towards increase their data leak protection. After comparing a number of possible suppliers, Cryptzone was the obvious choice.

With the initiative of Staffan Ljung at ADL, the whole nordic office will soon use secured communication. The intention is to implement encryption solutions for files, folders and email communications as the next step in their DLP project. This way, ADL can guarantee customers integrity.
Education
Bishop Justus CE School
Bishop Justus needed a cost-effective solution that would give students the flexibility to connect to the resources they needed whilst also securing traffic from students' laptops to protect the school's network from unauthorised users, viruses and malware.
Engineering
PSE Operator
PSE Operator required Access control for a wide range of user groups, Strong user authentication and encryption, as well as 24/7 access to their data and services.

EMD
For EMD, information security is critical. The integrity and confidentiality of client information underpins not only the relationship and trust that they have with their clients, but also EMD's business reputation.
LMAX
Appgate ensures smooth operations for innovative financial trading enterprise: In the fast-paced financial services industry, companies can't afford to have systems down for any length of time. IT support and development teams need 24/7 access to online systems, and remote access is therefore critical to ensure services keep running smoothly. LMAX were using an IPSec VPN remote access product but it had some limitations and an alternative solution was required.
Government and Defense
Borlänge Municipality
Borlänge needed a system that would give employees and officials the flexibility to work anywhere as if they were in the office, with access to the network resources and services they needed from their own laptops, home PCs, and PDAs.
East Dunbartonshire Council
East Dunbartonshire Council's IT team needed a networking solution that could address a number of business requirements, such as Flexible Remote/Mobile Access, Secure Internal Domains, Controlled access for 3rd parties, and ease-of-use.
Frederick County
Recognizing the potential impact that a data breach could have, the team at Frederick County wanted to take a proactive approach to data protection, using data encryption to improve security of confidential information and to prevent it getting into the wrong hands.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council needed to demonstrate compliance with the GCSx Code of Connection (CoCo) within a challenging deadline. Using NETconsent automated policy management software, the Royal Borough guaranteed that all GCSx users had read, accepted and signed the required CoCo Personal Commitment Statement - meeting a key compliance requirement quickly and at low cost.
UK Police Authority
Police officers out on patrol need to be able to access information from crime files and intelligence databases quickly in order to make decisions about any actions they need to take. However, as police database services and applications have become more complex, providing officers with fast and effective remote access has become more challenging. A UK police authority initiated a mobileworking programme that included equipping squad cars with mobile-enabled laptop computers. The requirement was for a mobile solution that would not only provide secure access to data sources such as ELVIS (the stolen vehicle information system) and the PVH handbook, but also support advanced applications such as the Corvus intelligence database that uses a highly graphical user interface, and also support teams such as crime scene investigators who need to upload photographs and complex data to the network directly from the crime scene.
Wigan Council
Wigan has been able to reduce the burden of corporate reporting and policy management using the latest software. What started as an IT project aimed at communicating the Authority's Internet Usage policy has now revolutionalised the authority's ability to meet its statutory requirements.
Healthcare/Medical Equipment
Aintree (NHS)
The Trust required a cost effective remote access solution, which incorporated secure connectivity and strong authentication as standard, to provide strong security and ease of use for employees. In addition, they wanted to accommodate third party access if required; so the solution needed to be flexible in terms of access options and controls.
Elekta
Elekta AB is a supplier of neuroscience products and solutions. One of its most wellknown solutions is the Gamma Knife, which provides non-invasive radiosurgery for treating brain disorders. A sophisticated treatment planning computer is controlled by doctors via a Windows based PC, which is particularly sensitive to changes in operational environment. It is vital that these Elekta systems, running specialized applications, are protected from virus and malware infection. Even on-going updates for virus protection have the potential to threaten the stability of the operational environment. Keeping system changes to a minimum helps to ensure patient safety.
Optimax
Compliance and control are key concerns in the healthcare industry. Managing an organisation that provides treatment to members of the public carries numerous regulations over and above the standard controls that are required within less regulated industries. Corporate policies are essential for communicating acceptable standards of corporate behaviour by which all employees must abide. Optimax, the UK's number one laser eye treatment company, recognised the opportunity to bring automation and control to this time-consuming and important area of the business.
Ortivus
In accordance with MDD (Medical Device Directive) Ortivus classifies all its products, including medical records for ambulance services, as medical devices. In the light of the regularity with which IT security incidents occur within the healthcare sector, there is a great need to improve the safety of its medical equipment. In order to address this critical need, Ortivus has chosen to implement Cryptzone's proactive security solution SE46 for its MobiMed and CoroNet products, in order to completely protect its customers equipment from malware.
Southhampton University Hospital

Legal Services
Duane Morris
Top 100 Law Firm Protects Data with Endpoint Security Software.
Hamilton Law Firm
Most of Hamilton's data and information was stored in a mainframe computer at the head office. However, lawyers needed to be able to access that information when traveling, participating in meetings, working from home offices, or working from satellite offices, for example in London. Lawyers were also using many different types of mobile devices.
Leisure and Entertainment
De Vere Hotels and Resort
De Vere's needed a solution that would allow them to control 3rd party access, and the system system would need to be able to support any protocol, not just web based protocols.
Logistics
Jetpak
Customers, partners and agencies need to be able to access the required online services regardless of their location, but the solution must also provide strong security to ensure applications and information are protected from unauthorised access. Central application servers need to be able to automatically schedule printouts at remote offices unattended so that printing is not delayed by being tied to a specific user session.
Manufacturing
KUKA
KUKA Roboter GmbH is a market leader in the supply of industrial robots for the automotive industry. Their robots run on a Windows operating system and are often networked. Customers are not permitted to implement system changes themselves without invalidating their support contracts. However the highly demanding environment in which KUKA systems operate (24/7/365) makes upgrading software difficult to schedule for the manufacturer. The lack of a maintenance window exposes systems to the threat of virus infection and breakdowns lead to lost productivity and increased costs. It therefore became imperative to find a solution to mitigate the identified risks.
